Welcome to you weekly minute with the Pastor.
Morning Service at The Baldivis Church on Sunday21st February
On Sunday morning we concluded the series on “Making the Most of This Life” with a message titled “Winning on Purpose” – the title borrowed from the book of the same name by John Kaiser. The material in Kaiser’s book deals with organizational excellence in the local church in order to maximize its missional endeavours. Our message on Sunday dealt with doing well in ministry, in business or in your vocational pursuits when you Work as though for the Lord, Integrity is the framework within which you work and Never stop learning all you can. This message is available for purchase on CD or can be downloaded from the podcast page on our website www.baldivischurch.org.au .
Evening Service
The Sunday evening series of message continued with a message from Matthew chapter seven based on the “Ask, Seek, Knock” passage. This message is available on CD and podcast.
Weekend attendances continue to be higher than last year with new people in attendance
morning and evening.
New Prayer Meeting
On Sunday morning we “re-invented” our prayer meeting, 8.45 – 9.15AM, with a greater focus on praying for the Sunday morning service, no discussing prayer points but praying spontaneously. There was a greater energy and vitality in the prayer time. Pray at all times in the Spirit.
Baldivis Development
Urban development continues in Baldivis at the corner of Safety Bay Road & Baldivis Road South, along Baldivis Road North between the service station and Baldivis Central, and preparation is underway on the Western side of Baldivis Road between Baldivis Central and The Baldivis Church. The nursery next door to The Baldivis Church is currently dismantling their plant and equipment in readiness for developers to commence their work (see attached pics). Last week surveyors were on site.

The Baldivis Church Phase 3 Building Program
Phase 3 building program for The Baldivis Church is the conversion of the current office centre into a foyer for the main building, as well as a bookshop. Currently our bookshop is being accommodated in the main auditorium on trestle tables. When the bookshop is moved into a bookshop room, it will make more room to accommodate the growing Sunday congregation. These changes are also necessitating the building of a new administration centre which will be situated on the western side of the driveway into the campus opposite the gazebo. The minor changes to the plans, required by the city council, have been made and submitted, and we are awaiting correspondence from them to give us the go ahead.
New Street Sign for The Baldivis Church
We will be picking up the new sign for the front of our property next week and it should be erected by Sunday 7th March.
Term Two Campaign
During term two, commencing in May, The Baldivis Church will be utilizing the “One Month to Live” campaign which will include Sunday morning messages and midweek Connect Group interactive material. For more information log on to www.TheOneMonthChallenge.com .
