Morning Service at The Baldivis Church on Sunday7th February
On Sunday morning we commissioned our Connect Group leaders by calling them to the platform, acknowledging their valuable contribution to the life of the church and praying for them. See attached pics. The message on Sunday morning, was the second in the series "Making the Most of This Life," and was titled "According to Your Faith." The message informational as well as motivational, encouraging us to dream the dreams, set the goals, take the risks, expect to make progress, and never give up. Proverbs 27:16 – "Though a righteous man fall seven times, he rises again." Evening Service
We began a new series of messages on Sunday evening that come from Matthew chapter 7. The first message in this series, based on verses 1-5 about the person with the plank in his eyes, presuming to help the person with a speck in his eye, was titled "Developing a Positive Spirit." This message is also available on CD or on podcast on the web site www.baldivischurch.org.au .
Connect Groups
All Connect Groups at The Baldivis Church are now back up and running for 2010, and after Sunday morning’s commissioning service and the leaders’ meeting following the Sunday service, it is fair to say that there is quite a bit of excitement around about belonging to a group. Many of the groups are studying the John Bevere material titled "Honor’s Reward." Following are a couple of thoughts from the study material:

Playgroup
Playgroup is back today and the second one will be on campus on Thursday. The carpark is full, and the playground is full on a beautiful sunny day!

Media Exposure Addiction
In George Barna’s latest article he explores what he calls "Media Exposure Addiction." Here’s a quote from his article: "But as often as not, media content winds up serving the lowest common denominator ….. Sometimes that makes media content a distraction from more important or helpful matters.
