Morning Service at The Baldivis Church on Sunday 31^st January

On Sunday morning we commenced a new series titled “Making the Most of This Life.” The first message in the series was based on Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.” Baldivis Church people don’t miss the service this Sunday for the second message in the series, titled “According to your faith….” I know it will motivate you, bless you and change you!

Evening Service

On Sunday evening we concluded our series on “The Kingdom & the Church.” All of our messages are available on CD or can be downloaded from the podcast page on our website www.baldivischurch.org.au . I encourage you to get hold of this message which will give you understanding of the practicalities of the continuity and discontinuity of the new covenant with the old covenant.

Building Program at The Baldivis Church

In the near future our next building program will commence: the conversion of the current office complex into a foyer and bookshop, and the construction of an administration centre, independent of the main building. We submitted the application to the City of Rockingham last year and have received correspondence from them last Friday that all is progressing along quite well. At the same time, late last year, we put out a challenge to the congregation to give toward paying out of the debt we had at that time, of $77,000.00. To date we have made great progress toward that goal, and should have it paid out by the time we commence the building program in a couple of month’s time.

Calendar for Early 2010

· MOPS recommences this Wednesday 3^rd February.

· Kids’ club and youth groups recommence this Friday 5^th February.

· Friday afternoon coffee shop reopens this Friday 5^th February at 5.00PM with a sausage sizzle.

· Some Connect Groups are already meeting, and all of them will be back again by next week. Many of them are studying the John Bevere material, “Honor’s Reward.”

· Playgroups recommence next Tuesday 9^th and Thursday 11^th February.

· Sunday 7^th February, morning service – all Connect Group leaders will be commissioned.

· Saturday 27^th March – Busy Bee to get everyone together to do some general maintenance and beautification of our property and facilities in preparation for Easter.

· Friday 2^nd April, Good Friday service – 9.00AM.

· Sunday 4^th April, Easter Sunday service – 9.30AM.

· Sunday 11^th April – Sean W. Smith ministering in our main service and Kids’ Church.

· Saturday 22^nd May – Annual Leadership & Ministry conference at The Baldivis Church with guest speaker Geoff Woodward from Metro church. This year will be a half day conference only.

· Small Group Leaders’ monthly meetings recommence this Sunday at 11:15-ish. Board meetings recommenced last night.
