Subject : Busy Busy

It\'s the end of Term two already but things around  here at The Baldivis Church Kid\'s ministries have only slowed down a little bit. We watched Narnia last week after a yummy sausage sizzle and icecreams and this week we begin having some fun with the biblical issues raised by the movie.
Playgroup is on two weeks holidays which provides some time to regroup and plan another exciting term of fun.
Next Tuesday we are holding a Childsafe training night here at the church 7.30pm to bring our many new volunteers on board with the safe practices involving our children . We will also be being joined by some of the other local churches in the area.
So as you can see although school holidays brings some relief from the weekly busyness other things are quick to fill the gaps.

Have a great school holidays. Any kids are welcome to join us for the Narnia journey on Sunday mornings for the next 6 weeks.

Subject : Prince Caspian

The new Narnia Chronicle is out at the movies but unfortunately the movie rating doesn\'t allow us to encourage our Kid\'s Church kids to see it. So here at Baldivis on the 29th June after our morning service we are holding a family get together. There will be a sausage sizzle and some fun together followed by a viewing of the BBC edition rated G of Prince Caspian.
We will be running a five week programme on Sundays dealing with the biblical issues raised in the movie for our kids following the 29th June.
So we extend an invitation to you to join us, just let the office know you\'ll be there.

Subject : Childsafe

As an organisation we spend a large portion of our time  dealing with children and we are required to be diligent in our protection of these children.
Gone are the days when we could welcome just anyone that wanted to help out in the kid\'s ministry onto the team and trust that they had all the neccesary requirements to do the job. Now we have very tight guidelines to follow in order to make sure our children are as protected as we can possibly make them.
As a Church of Christ organisation we implement the ChildSafe.org.au programme. This is a very thorough programme and I would encourage you to investigate this for your setting if you don\'t already have anything in place.

Subject : Children:Family Change Agents

That is the title of an article I have read this week . It was written by Carol Kuykendall-consulting editor for Momsense magazine and author of Five Simple Ways to Grow a Great Family.  She says in her writing...\" As our children grew up,they kept motivating me to move into new seasons, deal with new challenges and new relationships and learn new ways to express my love for them. They were the unofficial \"family change agents.\"\"
Do you have \"change agents\" running around in you life? Maybe they are little ,maybe they are big. Whatever age the children in our lives are, they will certainly take us to new places filled with new challenges constantly.

Have a great week full of changes.

Subject : Words Kids Need to Hear

It has been very busy here in Kid\'s Ministries. After having two weeks off for school holidays, playgroup (meetingTues 9.30-11) resumed with some very excited children and mums ready to reconnect with friends and see what fun things we had in stall.
We are covering God\'s creation and began by creating spiders and spider webs.A great website for craft resources is www.daniellesplace.com .

In Kid\'s church we are finishing up our Tongue Topic using the Kids Reach materialkidsreach.org.au . The kids have been involved in exploring what it means to use our tongues for blessing or hurt. Hopefully we have challenged them along the way.

I am away for this weekend on holidays and will be taking with me a new book that I have heard good things about ....Words Kids Need to Hear by David Stall zondervan.com   I will give my review after a few days away.
